It’s time to harvest your honey.

Newsletter No. 14 - October 7, 2025

I hope the autumn colors are bright where you are and that you're settling into the season's shift. I'm looking forward to visiting Vermont in about a month—I'll be in town for three weeks and would love to connect!

Last week, Ryan, the dogs and I, ventured into the breathtaking Brenta Dolomites. On our first day in the mountains, I encountered a huge bear—his legs taller than I am, his body crafted from wooden chunks. As he gazed at me with incredibly detailed eyes, I heard him ask: "Are you allowing joy and harvesting the honey sweetness of life? If not, what's keeping you from it?"

That encounter has stayed with me. As my coaching work deepens and I meet the hard places and limiting beliefs within myself, I'm reminded that no matter what path we choose, if we're not finding joy along the way, it's time to pause and ask: "Does this truly serve me?"

And if the answer is 'yes', then ask: "What is working? How can I turn this work into play?"

And if the answer is 'no', then it's time to move on! Let it go and see what takes it’s place.

In these unpredictable times, where around every corner there's another fearful message or image, we might worry that embracing joy seems selfish or lets others down. But I want to suggest the opposite: joy, playfulness, and love are the very tools we need most right now. Experiencing joy and following our deepest desires isn't self-indulgent—it's essential.

Fear will trick you into abandoning your intuitive senses, encourage you to build walls and close your heart. It obstructs your vision and creates illusions that keep you small, stealing the joy from life all the while convincing you it's preserving it.

We set out for a tour above Lago Molveno—one that turned out much longer than expected. Along the way, some of my deeper fears surfaced. I had hours to be with them, to hold myself through them. I love going to the mountains. They fuel me, and I won't let fear keep me from what brings me alive.

So how does this intertwine with my work? At its core, I see my role as an electrical engineer for the body—helping clients rewire outdated neural pathways to reconnect with their true nature. I often hear in sessions that "the light is gone." When asked what they want in life, they're unable to answer. Together, we begin to restore that connection. I guide clients to discover what ignites their inner fire, what sparks joy and desire in their bodies. Through this process, we bring what's been trapped in shadow into the light, loving what we find and cultivating self-respect instead of fear-based self-criticism.

Courageously pursuing what lights us up—what makes us feel alive—sharpens our most powerful inner compass: self-respect. When we nurture a playful curiosity about what truly moves us, we deepen our self-awareness and integrity. This clarity ripples outward, supporting not only our own well-being but the greater good of our relationships and environment.

We got lucky with beautiful weather and headed down to Lake Garda to climb a via ferrata. We want to start climbing, and I can feel that familiar seed of fear arise when I think about beginning something new. But when I'm in the moment, scrambling up the mountain, I feel an overwhelming sense of calm and confidence. It also helped not to look down!

Take a moment now. Pause and feel that familiar sensation of fear in your body. Now, release it. Instead, summon the feeling of self-love. Which was easier to access? If fear comes more readily, you're not alone. The more you lean into joy and love, the more your inner light can shine, guiding you toward a life rooted in authenticity and deep connection.

If you're feeling inspired to explore this more deeply, I'll be traveling to Vermont in November and will be accepting new clients during that time. If you're interested in a session, please reach out—I'd love to connect with you. And if you're curious about working with me within the coaching container, I invite you check out my website and book a free one-hour clarity call.Let's uncover what's next for your journey to self-love, joy, and play.

Here's to embracing joy, play, and self-love—always the most beautiful pathways to truly knowing ourselves.

With love,

Hanni

Harlow and Derby won't be making the Vermont trip—they'll be holding down the fort with Ryan while I'm gone. Harlow will be turning 16 in December and just hiked 10 kilometers (though we did carry him a little). Derby just turned 9. It's been a wild ride having them here in Italy with us.
