Loving Kindness Practices
Welcome to your embodiment practice—a space to reconnect with yourself, nurture your body, and awaken your energy. Follow these simple practices to cultivate self-love, explore deeper connection, and tap into your inner vitality. Remember, this is a judgment-free zone; observe with curiosity, compassion, and care.
Touch Practice
Reconnect with your sense of touch and awaken subtle sensations.
Begin by running your thumb gently along your fingertips, just brushing the surface.
Move slowly and notice the sensations in your fingers—tingling, warmth, or calmness.
Take a pause and observe any changes in your hand. Does it feel more alive? Is the space around it more defined?
Reflect on this: Our modern lifestyles often dull our sensory abilities. This simple practice helps reclaim these refined sensory skills.
Loving Kindness Practice with the Hands
This practice invites loving awareness into your body through the gentle power of touch.
Find a comfortable position—seated or lying down.
Bring attention to your hands, imagining energy flowing out of them (and know it’s truly there).
Place your hands gently on the crown of your head. Feel its contours and say softly, “May I be filled with loving kindness.”
Pause. Notice the sensations or emotions that arise.
Slowly move your hands down your body—neck, shoulders, arms, chest. At each stop, repeat the phrase, “May I be filled with loving kindness,” letting the loving energy flow.
Pause after each phrase and allow yourself to absorb the kindness. If certain areas feel “sticky” or “thick,” linger there a little longer and offer extra care.
When you feel complete, open your eyes and check in. Does your body feel more alive, receptive, or grounded? Observe without judgment—just curiosity.
Loving Kindness Practice with the Genitals
It is essential to include your genitals in embodiment practices. They are part of your whole being, holding an innate and powerful energy.
Find a comfortable name you like for your genitals—such as vulva, yoni, or cock. Learn your anatomy; knowing yourself is empowering!
Place a hand gently on your genitals with light pressure that feels sustainable for three minutes.
Breathe deeply, directing your breath down into your pelvis.
Exhale—feel your pelvic floor soften.
Inhale—sense expansion into your hand.
If emotions arise, allow them to move through you fully. Stay present to impulses and sensations.
When ready, remove your hands and notice how aware you remain of your pelvis and genitals. Has this shifted your connection to your heart, your sense of self, or your presence?
Feminine Energy Practice
For many women, it can feel challenging to connect with the energy of the pelvis. This practice awakens that flow and deepens your connection to the earth.
Sit upright in a comfortable position and take slow, intentional breaths.
Tune in to the energy, thoughts, and sensations within and around you.
On an inhale, draw your attention to the crown of your head.
On an exhale, guide this energy downward into your pelvic bowl.
Continue breathing at your own rhythm, drawing increasing energy and awareness into your pelvis.
Feel the spaciousness of your pelvic bowl. Visualize your sexual organs softening and hanging naturally.
Sense the connection between your sacrum and the earth. Stay here and notice how your body feels grounded and alive.
We often orient ourselves through our eyes, but what if we awakened our sacral awareness? Explore this space and its infinite potential.
Closing Notes
Take these practices as sacred moments for yourself. Somatic work creates profound shifts in how we feel, move, and connect to life. It’s not about perfection but about experience and self-discovery. If emotions surface, honor them. If there’s resistance, meet it with loving curiosity.
