Tantric Emotional Liberation Practice

This Self-Practice is about liberating the sensations of your emotional experience and cycling them through the microcosmic orbit while engaging in self-pleasure. It’s a powerful practice for experiencing personal sexual liberation and can transform your relationship with the nature of reality in a profound way.

Begin by setting up a space for self-pleasure and spend 10 minutes tuning into your body. You can either arouse yourself or create a sensual, loving connection with yourself—choose the vibration that feels most natural to your body that day. Gently stroke your body to awaken your sensations, and periodically ask yourself, “What emotion am I feeling right now?” Allow that emotion to surface, then identify the sensations associated with it.

Drop into those sensations and express them through movement and sound in a pleasurable, even orgasmic, way. The goal isn’t necessarily to experience orgasm but to let the sensations flow and expand through your body as an orgasm might. Guide these sensations through the microcosmic orbit: inhale as you draw the energy up the back of your spine to the crown of your head, and exhale as you release it down the front of your body.

Repeat this process by touching yourself again, asking, “What emotion am I feeling now?” and following the same steps. This practice can release a significant amount of energy, so it’s essential to conclude with a grounding exercise. Anchor your energy by taking deep, relaxed exhales and visualizing it sinking all the way down into the earth.
