I'm writing to you from Vermont, where I've just landed and the temperature has my Italian-adjusted body in mild shock! Turns out I've only lived through a handful of days below 25°F.
But as I watch the flakes fall outside my window, I'm dreaming of something warm to share with you...

A Women’s Retreat in the Maiella
When I first moved to the Maiella region of Abruzzo, I envisioned creating a women's retreat rooted in connection, community, and the deeply spiritual landscape of these ancient mountains. This region is rich with history—its many hermitages embody a sacred balance of solitude and communion. The land feels alive, untamed, grounded, and profoundly nourishing. You could hike for days without crossing your own path.
This retreat will be an invitation to slow down and return to ourselves. Together, we'll explore the sacred connection between eros, nature, and our own aliveness—how they're all threads of the same vital force. We'll savor incredible Abruzzese cuisine, practice somatic tools for nervous system regulation, immerse ourselves in the wild landscape, and hold space for one another in sisterhood. The Maiella will be our teacher and our sanctuary.
We'll be based at the beautiful agriturismo, Pietrantica, located next door to my house—a place that recently caught the attention of a television crew filming a program, Linea Verde, about the green spaces, artigianale cuisine, and authenticity of our area. It's the perfect home for what we're creating together.
